Finance

Schools have access to financial support through the trust, covering day to day financial operations as well as strategic financial planning. This includes payroll provision, administration of bank accounts, and support with budgeting, monitoring and financial reporting.

Financial support is led by the Chief Financial Officer, who works with schools to provide advice on compliance with the Academy Trust Handbook and trust financial procedures. The trust coordinates internal and external audit activity and manages statutory and regulatory requirements, BACS payments and month and year end processes.

Procurement is supported through trust wide approaches where this adds value. This includes developing procurement strategies for key areas of spend, managing tendering and quotations, and working with agreed suppliers through contracts and service level agreements. Schools are also supported to procure goods and services effectively, with a focus on value for money and quality.
